Andre Breitenreiter confirms Huddersfield Town injury as boss blasts ‘unacceptable’ display

Huddersfield Town’s defender Tom Lees will miss the final two games of the Championship relegation battle due to a knee injury sustained in the recent defeat against Swansea City. Head coach Andre Breitenreiter confirmed this at a press conference, stating that Lees won’t be available for matches against Birmingham City and Ipswich Town.

The injury occurred as Lees tried to prevent Swansea’s second goal, stemming from a long ball by their goalkeeper. Breitenreiter expressed frustration at some players’ lack of tracking back, which contributed to Lees getting injured.

Breitenreiter emphasized the need for changes after the disappointing performance against Swansea and hinted at adjustments in the lineup for the upcoming crucial match against Birmingham City. He expects players who come off the bench to make an impact and prove him wrong for any lineup decisions made.
