In a Western Conference matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night, the Houston Rockets will try to make it three games in a row on the road. The Rockets will play their second game of a three-game road trip after defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 123-107 on Friday night.
A show by Jalen Green took place in Portland. He shot 11 of 19 from the field and 4 of 9 from beyond the arc to end with a team-high 27 points. In the third quarter, he turned the club around, and his efforts resulted in Houston’s sixth road win of the season.
Of the 32 points the Rockets scored in the quarter, 13 came from Green. Houston overcame a 63-55 halftime deficit thanks to the momentum Green created in the quarter. The G League Ignite guard in his third year has now scored 15 points or more in six straight games.
The Kings enter the match having triumphed in three of their previous four games. They defeated the San Antonio Spurs 131-129 to record their most recent triumph. In the victory, De’Aaron Fox scored a team-high 33 points. The second game of their six-game homestand will be their matchup with the Rockets.
