One of the hottest teams in the NBA at the moment is Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. They have won nine of their last ten games, and their recent run of success has allowed them to break into the top six of the Western Conference standings. The Mavs have another important game coming up on the schedule when they play the Houston Rockets, who are the only team with a better 10-game span.

The health of Mavericks star Luka Doncic, who has been outstanding all season, is a little questionable, though.

Updates on Luka Doncic’s injuries before the Rockets game

Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (77) celebrates after the Mavericks made a three point basket against the Sacramento Kings late in the fourth quarter at the Golden 1 Center.

Due to a left Achilles problem, Doncic was listed on the Mavericks injury report prior to the team’s previous two games, both against the Sacramento Kings. Tim MacMahon of ESPN has reported that he is once again listed as injured prior to playing the Rockets because of right knee soreness.

Against the Rockets tomorrow, Mavericks star Luka Doncic (right knee soreness) is listed as questionable. The Rockets have won their last 11 games. Doncic has not played in the Mavs’ lone loss in their previous ten games.

The Slovenian superstar’s Achilles problem seems to be resolved, so the soreness in his right knee doesn’t seem as serious. There’s reason to believe that Doncic will be available to play this Sunday, especially given the fact that he’s only designated as questionable and the significance of the game against the Rockets.

Dallas is experiencing a massive upswing.
It is undeniable that the Mavericks will have a lot of momentum going into their third meeting of the season against the Rockets this Sunday, with or without Doncic. The Mavs recently defeated the Kings in back-to-back games in Sacramento, and they are currently riding a six-game winning streak.

Doncic scored fifty percent of his points in those two games from behind the arc and fifty percent of his points from the field. Those performances don’t seem to indicate that Doncic has an injury that Dallas supporters should be very worried about.

Doncic’s health is a top priority for the Mavericks, who are expected to make the playoffs after missing out on the postseason in the 2022–2023 NBA regular season.
