The Houston Rockets’ upcoming road game against the New Orleans Pelicans will be an opportunity to build on their most recent victory.
The second part of the Houston Rockets’ (14–12) back-to-back with the New Orleans Pelicans (17–12) takes place at the Smoothie King Center on Saturday night. The Rockets recently defeated the undermanned Dallas Mavericks 122-96.
Without Luka Dončić, the Mavericks were struggling and Houston was able to win easily.
The Rockets’ starting five all scored in double figures, with Alperen \engün emerging as the top scorer. In addition to his impressive 22 point performance, he was a monster on the glass, pulling down 15 rebounds. The big man is starting to see more of these types of games where he stuffs the stat sheet, and the team will be happy to see that trend continue.
The Pelicans are a cohesive squad right now, so the Rockets can expect a difficult matchup. They have won seven of their previous ten games and have a field goal percentage that is in the top 10 in the NBA. This could be a difficult game for them because they are a squad that has had trouble traveling this season.
