Leeds United must allow exits for two more fringe players after UK club loan interest – View

Leeds United youth centre-back Kris Moore has been subject to loan interest from Hibernian this week, and it was never likely that the club would stand in the way of him getting senior game time.

The Whites are preparing to take on Peterborough United in the FA Cup tomorrow afternoon, in which they will likely rotate from the squad that beat Birmingham City on New Year’s Day.

This means that we’re going to see some youngsters getting the nod from Daniel Farke, but some will still be on the fringes, given the depth of Leeds’ squad.

The Yorkshire Evening Post revealed this week that Leeds U21 defender Kris Moore is subject to loan interest from Scottish Premiership outfit Hibernian.

Hibs are looking very light in defence at the moment due to injuries, as well as international duty seeing two of their defensive options travel out for AFCON and Asia Cup involvement.

Moore is yet to make his senior debut for Leeds, having been a frequent presence in the PL2 this season, captaining the side multiple times while deputising at right-back in all but one game so far.

He’s not the only youth player that should be looking at a move away in the coming weeks, in order to get more playing time.

Here, we look at two more players that ought to be heading out on loan in the next few weeks…

We will see tomorrow at London Road what Farke thinks of Leo Hjelde’s prospects, and whether he’s willing to give him a chance at centre-back.

The Norway youth international struggled massively in Leeds’ first two games against Swansea City and Shrewsbury, but playing at left-back and looking uncomfortable to say the least.

A chance to play him at centre-back against the Posh has to be taken by Farke, but in the long run, it’s likely to be one of the only chances he’ll get to play for Leeds this season.

He needs to go out on loan to a club that will play him in his best position, centre-back.

Things could have been hugely different for Darko Gyabi this season in the multiple offers on deadline day had been accepted by Leeds.

He stayed put and has been subjected to PL2 football that he’s frankly above right now, meaning he is another that needs a loan to a club that will help unlock his potential.

Gyabi is a very talented midfielder, but has also been mis-profiled by Farke in the Shrewsbury game, playing him in a role not befitting of his strengths, receiving the ball facing his own goal more often than not.

Should the right club come in with a loan bid, Leeds need to be doing Gyabi a favour by accepting it.
