Hibs striker: 'I replay missed chances in my head 70 times on sleepless nights.'
Nights of insomnia as missed chances replay endlessly in one’s mind. having such a bad attitude that not even close relatives can cheer you up. Enacted all inside a setting where the main character is all too frequently viewed as a tool, the culmination of all those positive and negative points on a graph, rather than as a human being.

As a professional football player, Dylan Vente sincerely enjoys his life. He has obviously always relished the beautiful game’s emotional release, and his first half of the Hibs season has been nearly everything he could have dreamed of. Almost.

But the industry is challenging. a harsh field where constructive introspection can quickly devolve into destructive self-criticism. especially when you’re the man who gets paid to score goals on purpose.

Vente acknowledges that, given the opportunity to win the derby against Hearts last week, he probably ought to have buried it, but he yet says, “I am hard on myself because I know I can do more.” As a striker, I am extremely unhappy when I miss opportunities. It’s also up to me to figure out how to acquire mine.

“I’m reliving the possibilities in my head, but if you want to go to sleep, I’m thinking too much.” I stop playing a game approximately seventy times and start thinking about it again! As a football player, I believe it is normal to go to bed and watch it the next day.

You may consider using your left or right foot to strike the ball if you miss an opportunity. You begin overanalyzing; I’m doing it right now.

Vente had much-needed home comforts throughout this hectic football season in the form of flying festive visits from his parents, Dennis and Cindi, and brother, Deoni. It meant a great deal to have his loved ones near at hand for someone who obviously loves family. even if their attempts to make him feel better were doomed to fail.

It was nice to see them, he said, adding, “My brother and his girlfriend were over and left on Friday.” In addition, my parents visited on Christmas Day and departed on Boxing Day. Next, my brother arrived. It’s fantastic to see them because I’m a family man.

Perhaps some people just view you as a football player and fail to recognize your other side. Inside, there’s always a regular guy who longs to see his family. I do occasionally miss home, but that’s part of the profession and football.

Last week, my brother and his fiancée were billeted at my place. After a game, I always have complaints, complaints, complaints, but my brother always tells me to keep cool and it will come again. He manages to calm me down, but it was difficult to do so that evening following the Derby.
