Fans are encouraged to join the singing section as Hibs ultras make a pre-Rangers Scottish Cup plea.

Hibs fans who are passionate about the team have encouraged other supporters to join them in the singing section for Sunday’s Scottish Cup powderkeg matchup versus Rangers.

For the last time this season, Block Seven will be based in the bottom tier of the Famous Five Stand before moving permanently from their current location in the extreme corner of the East Stand. It comes after the green-and-white supporters overwhelmingly supported ideas to create a safe standing area at Easter Road behind the goal in an effort to enhance the atmosphere and matchday experience.

The Block Seven fan club has now extended an invitation to other ardent supporters to join them in igniting a fierce atmosphere this weekend as Nick Montgomery’s team looks to secure a spot in the semi-final at Hampden.

“This Sunday brings an excellent opportunity for everyone who wishes to be involved in actively supporting the team next season,” said a statement that was put on X. The vast majority of supporters claim that Easter Road’s atmosphere was much enhanced by shifting the section behind the goals. The players have corroborated this, saying they have noticed a distinct difference in loudness emanating from the goalmouth as contrasted to a tiny area of the East Stand.

This season, our European games just offered a taste of what the lower division could offer, week in and week out. This Sunday is our last chance to duplicate that before making a permanent transfer for the upcoming season. To encourage the team to play again at Hampden, we are urging all Hibs fans who would like to actively support the team to buy a ticket behind the Famous Five goals. I appreciate your unwavering support.”
