Now that the SWPL1 football season in 2023 has come to an end, we examine which players in Edinburgh have distinguished themselves over the course of the season. The players for the Spartans, Hearts, and Hibs experienced difficult yet unforgettable times in 2023. But for their year-long services to their team, these 11 players have distinguished themselves above the rest.
1. Charlotte Parker-Smith, or GK
Hearts’ goalkeeper has been outstanding in 2023. Last month, Parker-Smith delivered a number of outstanding displays that helped Eva Olid’s team defeat Glasgow City and Rangers twice. 2. Emma Brownlie, RB
One more participant who helped Hearts surge up the standings. Brownlie locks down the right flank with consistency. Hearts are able to keep their backline safe from potential threats because to her defensive awareness and leadership. Brownlie has received multiple awards for her performances this year.
