Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts and Rangers stars picked in PFA team of year – but Hibs miss out

Players’ XI is disclosed, and the team leading the league is the most represented in the division.

Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee, Hearts, Motherwell, and Rangers have representatives on the PFA Scotland Premiership team of the year, which has been revealed.

The PFA unveiled the starting lineup for the Scottish Cup semi-final between Aberdeen and Celtic at Hampden on Saturday morning, which was chosen by the players. Four players represent Celtic, three represent Rangers, and one each from Motherwell, Aberdeen, Dundee, Hearts, and Hearts.

Rangers’ prolific goal scorer James Tavernier and Dundee’s excellent Liverpool loanee Owen Beck are chosen at right and left back, respectively, with Butland, the team’s custodian, emerging as the standout performer. The back four is made up of Celtic centre halves Liam Scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The three-man strike force does not include any Old Firm forwards; instead, Rangers’ John Lundstram is partnered with Celtics’ Matt O’Riley and Callum McGregor in midfield.
Lawrence Shankland, the league’s top scorer and a recent Hearts star, is chosen along with Theo Bair of Motherwell and Bojan Miovski of Aberdeen.

Jack Butland of the Rangers, James Tavernier of the Rangers, Cameron Carter-Vickers of the Celtic, Liam Scales of the Celtic, Owen Beck of Dundee, Matt O’Riley of the Celtic, John Lundstram of the Rangers, Callum McGregor of the Celtic, Bojan Miovski of Aberdeen, Lawrence Shankland of the Hearts, and Theo Bair of Motherwell make up the entire PFA Scotland Premiership team of the season.
