Nottingham Forest and Everton are both showing interest in Fenerbahce forward Youssef En Nesyri.
Both clubs have made initial enquiries as they look to strengthen their attacking options during this transfer window. According to reports from Sky Germany, Fenerbahce believe the striker would favour a move to Everton should he decide to leave the club.
The 28-year-old is currently competing at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he is preparing to feature for Morocco in Wednesday night’s semi-final against Nigeria.
En Nesyri has been on the radar of Premier League sides for some time following his standout performances during his time at Sevilla.
Tamen makes Tranmere loan move
Everton U21s defender Will Tamen has joined Tranmere Rovers on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
It is the the 19-year-old’s first loan spell since signing for the Everton from Burton at the beginning of last season.
Tamen has been a regular starter for the U21s this term, making 18 appearances in all competitions and captaining the side. He also featured for the senior team in pre-season.
Napoli join race for En Nesyri
Napoli are also considering Fenerbahce striker Youssef En Nesyri, according to Sky in Italy.
Sky Sports News reported yesterday that Everton and Nottingham Forest are keen on the 28-year-old.
Napoli have missed out on one or two striker options including Giacamo Raspadori, who is heading to Atalanta.
Napoli are looking to move out striker Lorenzo Lucca and winger Noa Lang first, Sky in Italy report.
Nottingham Forest have inquired about Lucca and now Besiktas are also believed to be showing interest.
Tammy Abraham is now a permanent Besiktas player, but his name is being linked with a potential return to the Premier League this month.

Everton goalkeeper Harry Tryer is expected to join Cardiff in a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old has had talks with the League One club and is due to undergo a medical.
The deal cannot be completed until Cardiff’s transfer embargo is lifted.
Cardiff have said they expect the issue to be resolved and insist it will not impact their January transfer plans.

The 31-year-old reflected on his development during his time on Merseyside, stressing that while his game has evolved, his core passion for goalkeeping remains unchanged. He credited Everton and years of hard work for his progress, saying the club, supporters and their unmatched passion have always felt like a perfect fit.
The goalkeeper has earned all 80 of his England caps while at Everton and has made 326 appearances for the Toffees.
His new deal follows recent contract extensions signed by defenders James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite, both key figures under manager David Moyes.
