The head of 777 Partners and Kevin Thelwell have been in discussions over the Everton takeover in recent days.

The Liverpool Echo reports that in the past week, Johannes Sport, the sporting director of 777 Partners, has discussed the Everton takeover with Kevin Thelwell.

The news source claims, via a post on their official website on December 12, that Spors attended the Toffees’ home victories against Newcastle and Chelsea and had discussions with the team’s sporting director while he was there.

777 Partners has pledged to support Everton’s working cash through at least January 2024 while they wait for the go-ahead to acquire Farhad Moshiri’s ownership of the team.

They stated, “777 Partners sporting director Johannes Spors and his team attended both of the team’s victories over Newcastle United at Chelsea over the previous seven days at Goodison Park, and additional discussions were held with Kevin Thelwell, the sporting director of Everton.”

When serious doubts were voiced recently regarding their ability to truly take over Everton, 777 decided to make their presence there much less visible.

However, it’s evident that they’re still actively involved in the background and that closing this deal is important to them.

In one way or another, Everton needs everything resolved as soon as possible so that we can begin making appropriate plans for the future.

The team needs to start thinking about long-term stability plans because, had they not received the 10-point penalty, they would currently be in ninth place in the Premier League and much closer to qualifying for the Champions League than relegation.

The sooner this choice is made, the better for everyone involved, as they cannot accomplish that unless they have a clear understanding of who will be covering the expenditures moving ahead. We already know that they don’t care about us, but it shouldn’t have taken this long and it’s unfair to the supporters.
