Everton’s constant struggles with FFP are becoming old; this is a story that has dominated the game the whole season.

After struggling the previous year, Lampard would later say, “I knew that there was going to be more difficulties coming because FFP was there, we knew Richarlison would leave, we could bring in some players, but our net spend was not far from zero, which generally means that you are going to be in and around that.” In reality, we were unable to proceed.

As previously indicated, changing managers did not magically resolve this problem.

Therefore, despite all the obstacles, it must be determined if anyone could perform better than the former Burnley man currently does.
