Frank Lampard comments on Everton and the work Sean Dyche is doing, saying, “The problem for me is now.”

Frank Lampard opened out about his experience at the club and showed sympathy for Sean Dyche’s struggles at Everton, even after leaving Everton more than a year ago, Lampard claimed he continued to watch the team and that he still had a “big feeling” for it.

“[After Everton stayed up] I then knew that there were more difficulties coming because FFP [Financial Fair Play] was there, we knew Richarlison would leave

We brought in a few players in that second season as we tried to advance, but Dominic [Calvert-Lewin] got hurt right before the season, and Neal Maupay struggled to get in there, so we were playing without an effective number nine. I wanted to change the way we played, so I brought in James Tarkowski on a free, and Conor Coady on loan.

“This is not me making a lot of excuses because, in the last period of time, we tried everything to get results, but we couldn’t, and when I left the job, I was able to get it. If you don’t get results, you will lose your job.”

After Rafael Benitez’s contentious tenure came to an end, Lampard claimed he was grateful for a fan base that was ready to give him another chance and that he was fully aware of the responsibility of the position he was taking on.

It took Lampard some time to adjust to the most practical approach to achieving success, he claimed, because the recruitment problems that have bedeviled the team in recent years were evident when he first joined

But based on what we saw when we stepped in, it was obvious to me that many mistakes had been made in the recruitment process. There were a number of players on long contracts and five ineffective center backs, making the group lopsided.
