Given how the team’s 2023 campaign concluded, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell seems to be aiming high for the 2024 campaign.

During an appearance on NBC Sports’ “PFT Live,” star Lions pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson shared the message that Campbell delivered to him during the team’s exit meetings. Hutchinson, doing a fantastic impression of Campbell, claimed that Campbell made it apparent that the intention is to participate in the Super Bowl the next year.

“He says, ‘We’re going to the Super Bowl next year,’ during our exit meetings the day after. Forget about it. No matter what it takes, I’m game. stated Hutchinson.

Campbell has good cause to be enraged. At the NFC Championship half, the Lions led the San Francisco 49ers by 17 points; but, in the second half, he and the team struggled. That is a reasonable objective, and one that the rest of the organization seems committed to, given how close they got this season.

Although the Lions’ roster will require some adjustment in 2024, the team’s objectives have undoubtedly shifted from a few years ago.
