Insider Shares Promising Jameson Williams Update For Lions Fans
In just a few months, the Detroit Lions’ circumstances have undoubtedly changed.
For the majority of the previous thirty years, they had been awful or mediocre, but they finished 12-5 last season and came just minutes away from making the Super Bowl.
Expectations are therefore rather high for the upcoming season as well.
The Lions are hoping Jameson Williams steps up and increases their offensive ceiling, even though they have one of the best young wide receivers in the NFL in Amon-Ra St. Brown and a solid tight end in Sam LaPorta.
According to Ari Meirov, who also released a video, head coach Dan Campbell stated that Williams has been putting in a lot of work and that “he is a man on a mission.”
Williams hasn’t quite lived up to the Lions’ expectations, but they still traded three draft picks for him on draft day 2022.
He played in only six games as a rookie, hauling in one ball for 41 yards. By the following season, he had 24 receptions for 354 yards and two touchdowns.
Williams was identified by Pro Football Focus as the man who must step up for Detroit to have an offensive line that is unstoppable in the autumn and winter.
Williams showed promise as a playmaking threat with St. Brown during his junior year in college, as the University of Alabama Crimson Tide recorded 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Some believe that Detroit doesn’t have much space for development with Jared Goff starting at quarterback, but if Williams gets much better, they might find themselves planning to attend Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
