Pompey is interested in re-signing their former player Jamal Lowe, but they face competition from six other Championship clubs.
According to a report from The Boot Room, several clubs are prepared to compete to sign Lowe this summer. His contract with AFC Bournemouth is set to expire, making him a potential free agent. Currently on loan with Swansea City, Lowe cannot be signed permanently by them due to financial constraints.
Swansea boss Luke Williams mentioned that signing Lowe permanently could be challenging due to his Premier League-level salary, which the club can no longer sustain.
Several Championship clubs, including Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Middlesbrough, Millwall, and Watford, are also interested in Lowe. Pompey and Derby County, who recently earned promotion to the Championship, are keen on holding talks with Lowe.
Lowe has had a productive season with nine goals and three assists for Swansea, adding to his extensive Championship experience with 39 goals and 12 assists in 185 games. He was highly regarded during his previous spell at Fratton Park, contributing significantly to the team’s promotion to League One.
