Derby vs Carlisle: Carlisle Will Get Massive Away Support at Derby

Carlisle United is gearing up for strong backing from their fans as they prepare to face Derby County.

Carlisle United is poised to receive significant support as they prepare for their League One finale against Derby County. Despite Carlisle’s relegation already confirmed, their loyal fanbase, known as the Blue Army, continues to stand behind Paul Simpson’s team until the very end.

The anticipation for the final match of the season has led to a surge in ticket sales, with Carlisle announcing the sale of 1,137 tickets for the game at Pride Park. Such is the demand that an additional 800 tickets are expected to become available in the coming days.

This enthusiastic support is a testament to the unwavering dedication of Carlisle’s fans, despite the team’s struggles in the lower ranks of the league. The fixture against Derby, a side vying for promotion under Paul Warne’s management, is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, with a kick-off time of 12:30 pm.

For Carlisle, this match marks their first league visit to Pride Park in the 2023/24 campaign, concluding their season before heading back to League Two following relegation. Although it’s been some time since Carlisle faced Derby in a league fixture, memories linger of their previous encounters, including a memorable 4-1 victory for Carlisle at Derby’s former ground, the Baseball Ground, in October 1983.

As Derby County aims for promotion, they hope this fixture will be part of their celebration, with Warne’s ambitious squad seeking a return to the Championship.
