Derby County working on deal for premier league midfielder

Derby County are actively pursuing a midfielder to bolster their squad for the upcoming season, as reported by journalist Alan Nixon.

Paul Warne’s Rams are gearing up for their return to the Championship following their promotion from League One. Warne is keen to ensure his team is well-equipped for the challenges of the second tier and Derby are currently negotiating a deal for a midfielder, potentially on loan.

While the exact target remains unclear, it is suggested that the wage demands for the prospective player would be modest.

Derby finished second in League One last season, five points behind champions Portsmouth, having conceded fewer goals and matched Pompey’s goal tally of 78.

As the Rams await the release of their Championship fixtures on Wednesday, June 26th, they continue to work on strengthening their squad for the upcoming campaign.
