Clarets set for Pride Park final

Almost two weeks ago, we defeated Stockport County in our Central League Cup semi-final, while Derby County defeated Wigan Athletic 4-0 nine days later.

We had previously won our group with four victories from four against Accrington, Blackburn, Preston, and Blackburn, while Derby also won with a perfect record, defeating Lincoln, Mansfield, and Notts County in their four-team group. They trounced Lincoln 5-2, then Mansfield 4-0, and finally Notts County 11-1.

We are now fifth in the Professional Development League’s north group, having won twelve games and lost ten. Derby have struggled this season in the Premier League 2. They finished the league season in last position out of 26 teams, having won only five of their twenty games.

Derby will host the final on Tuesday, 7 May at Pride Park, starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free in the East Stand.
