BREAKING NEWS: Derby County to benefit from £935m deal after promotion to Championship

Sky Sports’ new agreement with the EFL, worth £935 million and inked in April, promises to showcase a minimum of 24 Derby County matches live next season. This boost comes alongside Sky’s commitment to stream over 1,000 EFL matches, with half of the Rams’ fixtures set for broadcast in the 2024/25 Championship campaign. League One teams will enjoy 20 live games each.

The televised lineup includes key fixtures such as opening weekends, final days, mid-week clashes, and Bank Holiday games, encompassing Easter, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Each full EFL weekend will feature ten live matches: three from the Championship, two from League One, and two from League Two, all airing live at 12:30 pm on Saturdays. Furthermore, all 15 play-off matches, 93 Carabao Cup games, and 127 EFL Trophy matches will be broadcast live.

This comprehensive coverage will come with live commentary on a new channel called Sky Sports+, offering viewers the ability to pause and rewind, a step up from the previous red button setup. Every game will have at least eight cameras capturing the action.

The eagerly anticipated fixture list will be unveiled on Wednesday, June 29 at 9 am. Sky assures fans that TV selections, match dates, and times for August and September will be confirmed in early July, with all picks up to January finalized before the season commences.
