The 46-year-old retired from professional basketball in 2017. As captured by SHOWTIME Basketball, Pierce would prefer to sign a ten-day contract with the Dallas Maverick.

“I need to be on a team like the Dallas Mavericks because they’ve got two dudes who could create for me. I’m not about to be creating my own offense.

They’re going to get into the lane and I’m gonna be there waiting wide open.” The Mavericks’ dynamic duo are excelling on offense.

Luka Doncic is averaging 32.9 points and 9.1 assists per game, while Kyrie Irving is averaging 23 points and 5.2 assists per game.

Pierce is a ten-time All-Star and NBA 75th Anniversary Team selection. He won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.

Although Pierce is well past his prime, signing the Hall of Famer to a ten-day contract is a viable option for many teams in the league.
