Major players out of the Grizzlies vs. Mavericks game

The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks have released their injury reports

The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks have released their injury reports for Friday night’s game, and both teams are missing key players. For Memphis, they remain without several regular rotation pieces, as Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, Luke Kennard, Marcus Smart, and of course Ja Morant are all out.

Adams and Clarke are expected to be sidelined for the season, but the injuries to Kennard and Smart are more recent, and not expected to keep them out for several more months like Adams and Clarke. As for Morant, he continues to count down the games until he is eligible to return from suspension.

For Dallas, they are not nearly this shorthanded, but will be without Maxi Kleber who has already been ruled out, and potentially Tim Hardaway Jr. who is questionable.

The Grizzlies have gotten off to a terrible start to the season, but with the play-in tournament format, they still have a real shot to turn things around and get back into the playoff mix. The eventual return of Ja Morant will help significantly with this, but the team will also need to do a better job of winning games in between now and when he comes back.

Luka Doncic and the Mavericks have started the season much better than Memphis, looking like a much different team than they were last season. This will be a tough test for the Grizzlies.
