Tim Hardaway Jr. called the play that resulted from Irving’s injury “scary,” and he also emphasized how the squad adopted a “next man up” approach in order to keep winning by playing well.
Mavs winger Tim Hardaway Jr. described Irving’s injury as “scary.” Indeed, dude. Although it’s difficult, we must adopt a “have his back” approach. He would desire that. And I’m happy that we were able to prevail.”
Irving waited for the team in the locker room and, despite not returning to the bench for the remainder of the game, Hardaway said he was in “great spirits.”
“He was right there waiting for us at the door when we came in,” said Hardaway. “He performed well. Great spirits. Just glad he’s not hurt.”
The nature of Irving’s injury is yet unknown, but before the Mavs play again this weekend, more details will probably become public. Follow DallasBasketball.com for the most recent information.
