Dallas Mavericks: Luka Doncic called out by teammate’s dad after win vs Oklahoma City Thunder

The Dallas Mavericks are a better team with Luka Doncic. That is an irrefutable fact that cannot and should not be challenged. Mavs shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr.’s father, Tim Hardaway Sr., believes Dallas’ ball movement improves when Doncic is not on the court.

“When Luka’s not playing, the ball moves better,” Hardaway Sr. stated on The Carton Show.

Hardaway Sr. may be correct that the leather moves more around without Doncic on the court, but is there another player on the team outside of Kyrie Irving that the Mavericks would trust with the ball more than the Slovenian star?

It is also worth noting that Hardaway Sr.’s comment was in response to a report in which an unknown veteran coach stated that Doncic’s teammates feel relieved whenever the MVP finalist exits the court and heads to the bench.

The Dallas Mavericks cannot afford to be distracted by a harsh comment made by a relative of one of its key players during a crucial playoff game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It might derail the Mavs’ momentum following a 119-110 road victory over the Thunder on Thursday, in which Doncic scored 29 points and shot 11/21 from the field.

Doncic also assisted seven times and grabbed ten rebounds.
Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks Return Home for Game 3 of Thunder Series

Doncic and the Mavericks won Game 2 in Oklahoma City, tying the series at one game each. That victory on Thursday also gave Dallas a significant boost moving into its first home game in the second round. Game three will take place on Saturday at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas.
