Here are three players Coventry City should be keeping an eye on during December.
- Due to their current poor performance, Coventry City needs to improve during the January transfer window.
Since he has shown promise with Hammarby, Nathaniel Adjei is a possible signing target for the center-back position.
Coventry should think about Callum Styles and Cameron Brannagan as midfield options because they can provide the team versatility and inventiveness.Seeing as how they are positioned in the lower half of the table, Coventry City will be hoping that the new year will bring about a change in performance.
The Sky Blues made it to the Championship play-off final in their very impressive season, but they were not promoted to the Premier League.
During the summer, Mark Robins’ team saw a number of changes as two important players, Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer, left and Reinforcements were sent in to attempt to cover the void.

Nevertheless, the Sky Blues haven’t gotten off to a strong start this season because a few of the new additions haven’t performed as well as the team had hoped.
They haven’t performed as well as they could have in past campaigns, so they might be looking to add more players now that the January transfer window is almost here.
These three reasonable goals are what the club ought to be monitoring in December.
1 Nathaniel Adjei
While not all Coventry supporters may be familiar with Adjei, they may have heard of him in recent weeks.
The Sun recently revealed that the Sky Blues have entered the competition for the center-half.
The Hammarby defender, who has been making an impression for his current team, is thought to be worth around £3 million.
According to reports, the 21-year-old has drawn interest from Sunderland and Preston North End in the Championship, Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
However, Coventry has now entered the race, and in the upcoming weeks, they should keep a close eye on him.
Although the center back is a new addition to Hammarby, he has already made an impression on the team this year, starting most of their games. It might also be a good idea to add to Coventry’s center-back position as they look to stop giving goals away because that position is rather thin in the squad.
2 Callum Styles
Styles appears like a player who might be moving during the January transfer window.
Burnley, Sheffield United, and West Brom have all shown interest in the 23-year-old in recent weeks, so Coventry has no reason not to be interested as well.
The Hungarian international is a valuable asset to Robins as he constantly looks to make the most of his squad. He has plenty of Championship experience under his belt and has demonstrated his versatility.
They are still looking for a player to step in and take Hamer’s place in the midfield, so adding Styles would give them an alternative.

3 Cameron Brannagan
When it comes to a player who could step in for Hamer, Cameron Brannagan of Oxford United might be the ideal choice.
The 27-year-old, who signed with Oxford after leaving Liverpool in 2018, has been a consistent player for the team during his five years there.
Brannagan has previously been connected to a number of Championship teams, most notably Bristol City, but a deal has never materialized for whatever reason.
Brannagan could be the perfect answer for Coventry because of their lack of creativity in the midfield and because the midfielder has been crucial once more as the U’s eye an unlikely promotion.
