The Coventry City supporters are applauding Matty Godden for his two late goals in Saturday’s 6-2 FA Cup thumping of Oxford United.

Joel Latibeaudiere, Ben Sheaf, Kasey Palmer, and Callum O’Hare goals were supported by his brace as he easily defeated Oxford to advance to the FA Cup’s fourth round.

The Sky Blue Army is giving Godden a lot of credit on social media; one fan even said that he “looked teary eyed” after scoring his second goal. A second person noted that following the striker’s brace, “all the Godden haters went silent”.
