As Coventry City gets ready to take on Wolves in an FA Cup quarterfinal on Saturday, manager Mark Robins stated that his team “knows the magnitude of the task”.

Seeking to make it to the semi-finals for the first time since winning the championship in 1987, Coventry is motivated.

The ninth-placed Wolves in the Premier League will be the opponent of the Sky Blues, who are currently one point out of the Championship play-offs.

“There is no reason not to be excited about this, it is going to be a fantastic occasion,” Robins added.

“Trying to secure a spot at Wembley is a really important incentive.

“It is going to be a brilliant occasion, we know the magnitude of the task but we are going to go there and give it our all.”

Victor Torp, a midfielder for Coventry, has resumed training and may be available despite suffering a hamstring injury last Saturday against Watford.

Although Wolves manager Gary O’Neil was reticent to divulge any team news during his Friday news conference, Matheus Cunha and Craig Dawson might be well enough to return.

“We’ve decided not to do injury updates,” he stated. We anticipated being without Cunha for a lot longer than we really have. The group has really benefited from having him back in training, something we are thrilled about.”

Regarding Pedro Neto and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, who sustained hamstring and knee injuries, respectively, against Fulham last weekend, O’Neil declined to provide any information.

“I’m sure our fans will understand giving team news away before an FA Cup quarter-final will hand unnecessary advantages to the opposition,” he said.

Four-time champions The last time Wolves advanced to the FA Cup semifinals was in 2019, when they were defeated by Watford at Wembley in extra time.
