‘Disgusting’ celebration by Coventry boss in front of 13-year-old ball boy captured on camera

Coventry City manager Mark Robins expressed regret for his enthusiastic celebration in front of a Wolverhampton Wanderers ball boy. Known for his typically calm demeanor, Robins became extremely excited when his team scored two late goals, turning a potential FA Cup loss into a 3-2 victory. Ellis Simms and Haji Wright scored the crucial goals in injury time, securing Coventry City a spot in the semi-finals at Wembley Stadium.

However, Robins faced criticism from Wolves manager Gary O’Neil for his behavior, which was described as “disgusting” due to his celebration directed at the young ball boy. In response to the backlash, Robins, aged 54, issued an apology to the ball boy.

Robins explained, “I owe an apology because before that winning goal, the ball boy had possession of the ball. He dropped it and walked away, smiling. It irritated me, but he’s just a kid, after all. I reacted in the heat of the moment.”

Additionally, fans of darts player Luke Littler can now support him by purchasing his playing shirt. Littler, who impressed spectators at the World Darts Championship at the age of 16 despite losing in the final to Luke Humphries, will be competing against top dart players in a mini-tournament across different cities every Thursday until the final in May.

After learning about the incident, O’Neil wasted no time in criticizing Robins. He remarked, “I waited until their celebration ended, greeted everyone, praised them for a great performance, and their achievement in reaching Wembley. It was truly impressive.”

Robins returned to his usual composed demeanor after the match, acknowledging his error and expressing remorse for celebrating in front of the young ball boy.
