Collingwood Magpies dealt another huge injury blow with Scott Pendlebury…

AFL 2023: Scott Pendlebury will begin coaching career away from Collingwood Magpies

Scott Pendlebury, a key player for Collingwood, will miss the upcoming important match against the Western Bulldogs due to injury, adding to the team’s growing list of sidelined players. Pendlebury, dealing with an arm injury since last week’s game against Fremantle, had to cut short his training session at Olympic Park on Wednesday. Collingwood coach Craig McRae confirmed the news, expressing disappointment as Pendlebury’s leadership and experience are difficult to replace.

On a more positive note, Jeremy Howe successfully completed training and will return from a minor groin issue, providing a boost to Collingwood’s tall players ahead of the Bulldogs clash. Howe had recently played in the forward position in Collingwood’s win over West Coast before his injury.

Despite the challenges posed by multiple injuries to key players like Brody Mihocek and Mason Cox, McRae acknowledged the opportunities this situation presents for younger team members. He remains optimistic about the eventual return of senior players, viewing it as a chance for growth and development within the team.
