Former Charlton Athletic transfer target Jonson Clarke-Harris has joined Rotherham United.
The Millers announced today that the 29-year-old striker, who has previously played for them, is the first signing under manager Steve Evans.
Evans recently left Stevenage to return to Rotherham for a second managerial tenure after the team’s relegation from the Championship.
Although Charlton had agreed on a fee with Peterborough United during the January transfer window, they couldn’t meet Clarke-Harris’s financial demands.
We recently discussed on the South London Press Football Pod that the forward is no longer on Charlton’s target list.
Clarke-Harris has signed a two-year contract with Rotherham United, who are anticipated to be strong contenders in the upcoming League One season.
