The Celtic supporters are growing more anxious by the minute as deadline day approaches because they have only made one signing so far this window.

Sydney van Hooijdonk fans will be wondering where the next signing is coming from now that the rumors surrounding him have subsided.

At least one player may be on the way, as reports that Adam Idah would join the Celtics made headlines this morning.

Journalist Roger Hannah thinks Rangers’ recent actions will spur movement in Glasgow’s east end and has provided an update that will give the supporters optimism that deals will be done before the end of the window, even though the fans’ expectations are fading for any news.

That’s one of the reasons I believe Celtic will make moves before the window closes on Thursday night, Hannah stated [Clyde Superscoreboard]. The board is not stupid.

They are making an effort to adhere to a strategy that has helped them achieve great success in recent years.

That could be a risk at times, and risks can backfire. The Celtic board, in my opinion, is astute enough to see that they must bring in a few players before Thursday night.

Everyone agrees that Celtic needs a goalie, a left defender, and potentially a striker in this transfer window. Greg Taylor’s recent injury has highlighted the necessity of acquiring a backup full-back.

Yogo Furuhashi is no longer a goal scorer, thus supporters of the Hoops will be hoping that the agreement to recruit Idah goes through.

In addition, Joe Hart’s contract is about to expire soon. Brendan Rodgers will still need to deal with the goalkeeping position even if it’s uncertain if he will complete it by Thursday’s deadline.

Since the transfer window is still open for little over 36 hours, it is anticipated that as fans demand more from the squad, there will be an increase in rumors around possible Celtic targets.
