Sydney van Hooijdonk has blasted the caliber of Scottish football while disclosing the “TRUTH” about his connections to the Celtic team.

Brendan Rodgers was linked with a move for the striker as he hunted to add to his firepower. The Norwich City loanee, however, has acknowledged that there were discussions with the Scottish champions last summer but that none occurred this winter. Adam Idah was able to relocate north of the border thanks to his arrival at the Canaries. He has already made a big impact, scoring two goals in the thrilling victory against Motherwell and adding another to his tally in the crushing victory over Dundee on Wednesday night.

Despite his opinions on the Scottish game, Van Hooijdonk—the son of former Celtic hero Pierre—has acknowledged that he is a fan of the Hornets. He responded, “To be honest, I didn’t speak with Celtic this winter,” in response to Pink Un.

“You see a lot of stuff, but I didn’t talk to them this winter. Yes, there was a little throughout the summer. Though I really enjoy the beautiful club, it was great to see them in the play-offs and have a championship team. I’m thrilled to be here because this league is a better level than that league.”
