Sean Dyche reacts to major Celtic news and admits 'surprise' over Hoops change

When Celtic activity concludes this season, Sean Dyche expressed his amazement at the news that Joe Hart will be retiring.

At Burnley, the 36-year-old goalie collaborated with the Everton captain. Hart has a trophy-laden career that includes a spell as England’s top player. He has also played for Man City, Tottenham, and other teams.

On Sunday, in a 3-1 Celtic victory against Motherwell, he got the start and produced a spectacular stop off a header by Lennon Miller. Blair Spittal had given the Steelmen the lead, but Adam Idah scored twice off the bench to spur the team to victory, setting up Luis Palma’s goal in stoppage time.

Even though Dyche is not a frequent player in Scottish football, Hart’s decision to hang up the whistle at this point nevertheless surprises some. Having said that, Dyche is aware of the excellent playing career the Celtic player has had.

Prior to Everton’s 1-1 draw with Brighton, he stated: “I’m sure a lot of people who might have had extremely positive experiences with him will have a lot to say.

He is an extremely wonderful guy and professional who adjusted to everything we asked of him while he was at Burnley. I find it surprising that he is departing because I think he has had an incredible career.

“From what I understand, I don’t follow Scottish football all the time. He has liked his time there, and I believe he has performed well.

It’s clear that he thought it was appropriate. Thus, I hope the best for him in whatever comes next for him.
