Bullish Scott Brown said that Celtic’s triumph against Rangers on derby day is “not a problem” and predicted that Celtic will defeat Rangers.
With two games remaining before Rangers take on Ross County at Ibrox on Wednesday, the Hoops secured the ideal setup for their matchup with Philippe Clement’s team to close out 2024. Thanks to goals from Paulo Bernardo and Mikey Johnston, the team defeated Dundee, moving five points clear atop the table. However, Brown exuded confidence following his Boxing Day performance, even if Celtic suffered a possible injury just a few days before they hosted the Light Blues at Celtic Park.
While talking about Cameron Carter-Vickers’s possible absence following his while doing punditry for Sky, Brown hobbled off against Dundee, saying, “He reads the game really well.” Callum McGregor is in there too, but he controls the game from the back. They both serve as excellent club leaders.”
When Eilidh Barbour pressed him for a prediction, he smirked and said, “Celtic win. Not an issue. How about you? The Sky host, caught off guard, retorted, “I’m just there to enjoy it Scott!”
When Brown was captain of Parkhead, he was the main tormentor of the Ibrox side. However, it seems he hasn’t let moving to various Scottish football TV studios stop him from taking a swipe.
