REMARKABLE A Celtic legend cautions about signing a loan as a winger linked to Rangers completes a Deadline Day transfer.

Today, two first team players for Celtic might be lost as an ex-Rangers player tries to break free from his terrible time in Turkey.

The January transfer window is now CLOSED for another year, but with Celtic and Rangers just making one new signing apiece, there was no late deadline day surge in Scotland.

Adam Idah, a striker for the Republic of Ireland, signed a loan deal with the Hoops until the end of the season from Norwich City of the EFL Championship. Meanwhile, Oscar Cortes, a winger from Colombia, officially joined Rangers after securing a loan move from RC Lens of Ligue One, with the Ibrox side having an obligation to buy in the summer. The South American deadline for the transfer is available until March 9, so there’s no rush on the midfielder Jose Cifuentes’ departure from Rangers to join Cruzeiro in Brazil. With David Turnbull concluding a permanent £2 million move to Cardiff City and Mikey Johnston leaving to West Brom on loan, there were more departures than arrivals throughout the city.

There has been some movement, and both Glasgow giants may observe free agents who are still seeking a new team to play for.

Celtic legend IS NOT SURE that Norwich’s attacker will strengthen the team

Adam Idah, a recent addition to Celtic, might make his Pittodrie debut for Brendan Rodgers’ team this weekend against Aberdeen. But club great Chris Sutton isn’t happy with his loan capture.

He feels the frontman for Norwich City has not lived up to expectations at the English Championship level and does not think he will help the Hoops team in the remaining games of the season.”Idah has had enough time to prove himself, especially at Championship level, and I think the team would have wanted more from him,” Sutton wrote in Pink Un. Sadly, it appears like our journey is coming to an end. For him, Celtic will be a very challenging and unique experience. To survive in Glasgow, you need to have a strong mental constitution.

“I worry that Idah isn’t much better than Oh Hyeon-gyu and won’t be able to replace Celtic’s other forwards. Being a development player, I’m not convinced Celtic needs him at this time either. I sincerely hope he is aware of what he is entering into.”

Winger with ties to Rangers sidesteps Ibrox for EFL Championship team

Last night, highly-regarded Dutch winger Million Manhoef completed one of the most costly deadline day transfers in the English Championship, putting an end to rumors that he was considering a move to Rangers.

Manhoef move still on, with Rangers poised to strike for classy 22-year-old winger

After drawing a lot of late transfer interest, the former Vitesse Arnhem star signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Stoke City, with the option to extend for an additional year at a cost of approximately £3 million.

PSV Eindhoven, Rangers’ Champions League winners, allegedly made an inquiry, according to outlet AD Sportwereld, but chose to move on to other targets fast, making room for Stoke. 22-year-old Manhoef earned the Eredivisie side’s Player of the Year last season, scoring nine goals and contributing five assists in 27 games. He told the club’s website: “I’m extremely excited, this is a great club and I want to show everyone what I can achieve here. I wanted to go to England and had only heard excellent things about Stoke City. I felt it was only natural for me to come to Stoke because it is home to a few of my fellow Dutch players.”
