The Union Bears are planning to match to Ibrox ahead of Saturday’s huge Old Firm derby at Parkhead.
Celtic host Rangers in a crunch top-of-the-table Premiership clash at lunchtime and the away side have the chance to pull to within two points of their rivals in the title race, and would still have two games in hand over them. Gers fans will not have the chance to be at the game as the stand-off between the sides over away allocations continues.
But their ultras group have still decided to prepare a procession towards their own ground while their favourites will be preparing for the match at the other side of the city. The Union Bears have put a graphic out on social media which reads: “See them march on Ibrox stadium. 30/12/23.”
Celtic refused Rangers’ request for an away allocation after several derbies were held in front of home supporters only, as a result of safety fears.
Previous larger allocations had been cut to just over 700 and that raised fears over the safety of those small numbers in attendance at their rivals’ homes.
