“I put too much pressure on myself,” Celtic flop opens up on failed move

The difficulties Shane Duffy faced as a Celtics player have been made public. The 32-year-old was speaking about Adam Idah’s loan move from Norwich to Glasgow and sharing his personal experiences with the team.

According to Duffy, who joined Celtic, he put too much pressure on himself, which led to his subpar performances on the field during a disastrous season for all parties. This was published by The Daily Record.

Given that we are from the same nation and that I performed there, I talked to him extensively about Celtic culture. All I told him to do was go have fun. I was overly hard on myself because I was supporting the club and didn’t want to disappoint anyone when I went there.

“It turned out to be the opposite, where I didn’t perform as well as I should have because I gave in to the pressure because all of my friends and family are Celtic supporters.” He’ll realize how enormous it is when he gets there, but until then, enjoy it and be yourself. It’s one of the greatest football teams in the world, so don’t put too much pressure on yourself.

Thanks to the rescheduled 2020 Final, the Irish defender, who had been with his boyhood club for 27 games, won a Scottish Cup during his season-long loan stint with Neil Lennon’s squad in September 2020. Duffy, however, was unable to regain his peak form due to personal problems and a disastrous season for the team.

Duffy was obviously under pressure, and it was unfortunate for him that there were no fans in the stadium. With the Scottish Cup and League still up for grabs, perhaps Idah can excel more than Duffy and lead Celtic to a double in the second part of the season.
