“Legs like oak trees”: The 25-year-old Celtic player’s physique astounds David Martindale.

Brendan Rodgers and his players desperately needed Celtic’s victory over Livingston after their recent back-to-back defeats in the Scottish Premiership. The Parkhead team’s comfortable eight-point advantage at the top of the league was reduced to two points after losses to Kilmarnock and Hearts. With the Glasgow Derby coming up next week, the Bhoys cannot afford to lose any more games.

In his post-match interview, Livingston manager David Martindale applauded a Celtic player for the second time this season, expressing his disappointment and frustration over the win.

“To be honest, I was a little worried about our left-hand side,” Martindale stated in reference to Livingston FC. Big Parksey blowing up, he got back into it very good.

Simply said, he is perceptive, recognizes danger, and, nine times out of ten, acts morally. He clearly loses control after Carter-Vickers’s shot to his face.

“You probably don’t want to shoot yourself in the face to hit him. His legs resemble oak trees.

Athletes like Carter-Vickers are very skilled. The Hoops defender is strong and stocky, and he is rarely outmuscled in a physical contest.

He is so physically strong that I can’t remember ever being outmuscled when it comes to the ball.

The American defender, who turned 100 yesterday, has been a constant presence for Celtic. Amazingly, since joining Celtic two summers ago, Carter-Vickers has experienced just two home losses. [Transfermarkt]

Ironically, he only made two appearances for the Hoops—one against Livingston in the 1-0 loss at Almondvale, and the other last week against Hearts.

This season, Carter-Vickers will remain a crucial component of Aaron Rodgers’ machine, and the Celtic manager will need his oak tree legs to maintain his assault for the Scottish Premiership title.
