The latest on Celtic’s left-back search; still hope as the club scramble

Celtic is intensifying its efforts to strengthen the left-back position, a need identified prior to the January transfer window.

Football Scotland reports that the club is purportedly trying behind the scenes to secure a signing, perhaps on loan, with just over 24 hours till the market closes.

The injury to Greg Taylor has increased the need for a left-back to be added. Although Bernabei started the game this past weekend, his performance has not yet reached the expected level, raising questions about whether he is suitable for Celtic’s needs.

Celtic hasn’t done a lot of moving in transfer window. The team has signed winger Nicolas Kuhn, and they are about to make an announcement regarding the loan agreement for Norwich City striker Adam Idah. With no signs of any further additions beyond this position, Celtic’s main priority as the deadline draws nearer seems to be the chase of a left-back.

The administration of the organization is probably going to keep looking until the very last minute in the hopes of finding a worthy addition to strengthen the squad’s defensive line.
