Harry Kewell, the Celtics coach, is expected “to leave the club in the coming days”.
The Australian is reportedly “getting closer to being appointed as the new Yokohama F. Marinos boss,” according to the Scottish Sun.
On Boxing Day, Kewell was not on Brendan Rodgers’ team when the Hoops defeated Dundee 3-0.
Australia-based reports claim that John Hutchinson, who was Ange Postecoglou’s coworker at Marinos, is anticipated to be his No. 2.
In the past, Rodgers declared that he would not prevent Kewell from joining the former J1 League winners.
He uttered: “”Harry is not new to managing; he has done it before. He has experienced a little bit of it, and I always encourage staff members to widen their horizons.
“If other clubs are interested in your talented players, that is also a sign.”
In the meantime, Nick Walsh will be the man in the middle for Celtic vs. Rangers in the most recent game.
On Saturday, December 30, the much-awaited derby match will be officiated by him.
After defeating Dundee 3-0 this afternoon, Celtic is now leading the Premiership by five points.
Tomorrow night, Philippe Clement’s team takes on Ross County at home. Their goal is to close the gap to two points so they can catch up to the champions the following weekend.
Walsh has officiating experience for the match. He’s been given the task of managing the event by the Scottish FA.
Calum Spence and Grahame Stewart will support him.
Daniel McFarlane, Willie Collum’s assistant, will be on VAR. Fourth official will be Kevin Clancy.
