It has been anticipated that the 22-year-old striker will depart Norwich prior to the transfer market closing on Thursday evening.

The forward is probably on his way to Scotland, although Hellas Verona of Italy has been in negotiations to sign him.

Although Norwich was unwilling to let him go without finding a successor, Celtic is pressing to sign him on a loan.

Nevertheless, the Bhoys have no obstacles in their way of acquiring Idah, as the Canaries are currently close to signing Sydney van Hooijdonk from Bologna.

Now, Celtic will work to complete a contract that will bring Idah to Parkhead for the remainder of the campaign.

Brendan Rodgers has been pressing Celtic to add players, and the Norwich striker will probably be their most recent addition.

Idah, who has made 28 Championship appearances for Norwich and scored six goals, is now anticipated to play the remainder of the season in Scotland.
