Throughout the game, McCoist was critical of both players, venting his annoyance at their performances on his personal X account.

After the loss, Celtic, who are presently only two points behind Rangers in the SPFL, will have the opportunity to reclaim the top spot if they defeat Hearts on March 3.

Using X to comment throughout the game, McCoist initially wrote “Cyriel Dessers” and a face-palm emoji, then “Comedy Goldson” and the same emoji.

At Ibrox, Rangers let their SPFL advantage slip against Motherwell.

The majority of Rangers fans at Ibrox will share McCoist’s displeasure, as he has already expressed his disapproval of this team, with both players considering their individual performances and the roles they played in a shocking home loss that they truly ought to have won.

The defender had a late chance to tie the score in the ninetieth minute, but he missed the mark with a header from about six yards out, which led to the “comedy” Goldson comment.

Overall, Philippe Clement’s team gave a dismal performance as the manager lost for the first time at Ibrox. When the pressure started to build, none of the regulars at Ibrox were able to stand up and be counted.

Dessers, on the other hand, saw a return to the type of play that has garnered him a lot of flak this season, especially during the start of his Ibrox stint, as he failed to strike the back of the net despite having plenty of opportunities presented to him.
