Sutton’s opinion is direct: “If they can work out a solution, then everyone should shake hands, send each other good wishes, and move on.” If that goes through, Celtic will be a really challenging and unique experience for him. A strong mental foundation is necessary to survive in Glasgow. This observation highlights how difficult the Scottish football scene is, and it raises questions about the kind of mental toughness needed to be successful at a team like Celtic. particularly at a moment when the supporters believe they are being taken advantage of, and you might be a sign of that.

Expanding on his concerns, Sutton adds, “My fear is that Idah will struggle to displace Celtic’s other strikers and isn’t any better than Oh Hyeon-gyu. He is a development player and I’m not sure that is what Celtic need either right now. I really hope he knows what he is getting himself into…” These words echo the apprehension felt by many fans. This sentiment resonates with the broader Celtic fan base, who are less than thrilled at the prospect of acquiring a third-choice striker from a team currently ninth in the Championship.

We as a site aren’t going to write off Idah before he’s got here, that would be unfair, but he’ll have a lot to do to convince people this move was the right one.
