In the midst of all the talk about Rangers leading the Scottish Premiership and Celtic being awful, Chris Sutton has projected who would win the Glasgow Derby if it were played today.
Although Rangers are still riding high on our coattails, the former Celtic star doesn’t seem to be buying into the story about Celtic, and there is a legitimate title challenge going on from across the city.However, it appears to be conveniently overlooked that Celtic produced in the Glasgow Derby when it mattered most this season, and Rangers were overwhelmed.
After setting the precedent with the 1-0 victory at Ibrox, Brendan Rodgers led the team to a 2-1 victory at Parkhead in December.
And now, despite the current optimism surrounding them, Chris Sutton has predicted who would win if both teams played today. This doesn’t bode well for the squad across the river.
