Andy Walker asserts that Celtic have been following Wolves forward Fabio Silva for a long time.

A number of teams have expressed interest in loaning their players, and the Portuguese forward is expected to leave Molineux early next month. Silva was signed by Wolves in 2020 for a club record £35 million, but despite the excitement, he has only scored five goals in 72 games. The 21-year-old did score goals during his seasons on loan at PSV and Anderlecht last season, and he is expected to be farmed out once more. He is a great player for Portugal’s Under-21 team.

Rangers and Celtic have been strongly linked, and other Spanish teams are also interested. Walker, though, expressed his desire to see him play at Parkhead, saying the Hoops executives had been watching the front man since Brendan Rodgers took over as manager.

“He was on Celtic’s radar a number of years ago,” the former Celtic striker said on Go Radio. He was playing for the Wolves when I last saw him at a game in the South. All of them were discussing Celtic’s interest.

“He is skilled. He performed well and have talent. That occurred in the early days of Brendan’s leadership. He has undoubtedly been observed previously.”
