Celtic striker is in negotiations to join an EFL team; contract expires this summer

According to a Daily Record report, Watford and Rocco Vata’s representatives are “talking” about Watford moving from Celtic.

Talks are underway between Watford and the young player as they try to entice him to the Championship at the end of this campaign.

The 18-year-old Vata’s contract expires this summer, and Celtic runs the risk of losing him due to other offers.

The Daily Record claims that the Hornets have reached out, but they will have to contend with rivals like AC Milan, Bologna, and Sampdoria Como. He has reportedly been extended an offer by the Hoops through 2027, but he has not yet accepted it.

Watford in talks with a Celtic attacker
In the long run, Watford may view Vata as someone who can strengthen their attacking unit. With a bright future ahead of him in the game, the teenager is highly regarded.

The Glasgow-born man has progressed through Celtic’s academy ranks and has been a member of the team throughout his entire career.

Having played at several youth levels for the Scottish Premiership giants, he most recently made a name for himself as a regular for their B team in the Lowland League, where he scored 30 goals in 58 games.

However, relocating to Italy might be a wise choice on his part. In 2022, Lewis Ferguson moved from Aberdeen to Bologna, and that move has greatly benefited him.
