Celtic makes its first signing of 2024 to the Hearts

Rachael Johnstone, a goalkeeper, was acquired by Hearts from Celtic, while Lisa Rodgers left the team as a result of the agreement.

Johnstone’s career with the Glaswegians has been incredibly successful. She has claimed the Scottish Cup and the Sky Sports Cup, and she has played in the Champions League despite just being 19 years old.

She has been loaned to her neighbor Spartans for the last few months. In an effort to allay their fears of relegation, the ‘keeper has made multiple appearances for the team throughout this time.Johnstone has now committed to an 18-month deal with an additional year’s option to play for Hearts with Eva Olid.

Lisa Rodger will be leaving the team to join Celtic as per the agreement. After a productive loan at Boroughmuir Thistle in the SWPL2 last season, Rodgers has been Charlotte Parker-Smith’s backup this season.
