Without any delay, the former Celtic striker turned commentator took to social media to make fun of Beale for calling Sutton Chelsea’s “worst ever player” during an interview.

Beale made remarks about Sutton, a Premier League winner, early in his tenure at Ibrox that have aged like milk. With his “brains behind Gerrard” ploy, Beale has now talked his way into three roles. However, it appears that the Englishman has been driven out of the North East, meaning the game is likely over.

The forward, who previously played for Norwich and Blackburn Rovers, joined from Chelsea for a sum of £6 million, which at the time was the club record. Sutton scored 86 goals in 199 games during his career with the team. He would have incredible success during this period, taking home four crowns, three Scottish Cups, and one League Cup. Even though he wasn’t always the fastest, he was a terrific player with excellent intuition. He was a pivotal player in that prosperous period thanks to his extraordinary vision, keen goal-scoring ability, and near-telepathic connection with Henrik Larsson.
