The Portuguese playmaker, who is now on loan, is accustomed to handling the pressure that comes with playing for one of the biggest teams in sports.
Tomorrow at 2pm, Celtic will take on St Mirren in the Scottish Cup, putting them back on the silverware tightrope in Paisley.
The elegant 22-year-old middle-of-the-park operator is well-versed in managing stress levels. Anticipating a swift return to the location where the champions opened 2024 with a 3-0 victory on January 2, he is optimistic that the Parkhead men will handle any challenge that comes their way.

They proved that talent once more in their midweek 2-1 triumph over Hibs at Easter Road, when Adam Idah’s stoppage-time penalty kick secured the points.
“We have to win all the games we play in here at Celtic, a big club like this,” Bernardo declared. That also occurred at Benfica. That was the case with all of my Benfica young squads.
Given that both Benfica and Celtic are large organizations, I believe that they are fairly comparable in that their goals are to win every game.
“We had to win the match, and a goal at the very end is always welcome. We were so passionate. We were thrilled to win because sometimes things just have to work that way. We need confidence because it gives the team a little extra edge.
Naturally, we must always raise our game. We must get better in the gym and apply that on the field. We need to return to the level we were at before the break. We had a terrific time.
“It happens sometimes; we’ve had some injuries and a break. Before the break, our rhythm was quite nice. I believe that we are doing very well; all we need to do is make the most of our opportunities. Objectives are beneficial.

“We are doing some things well, some things we have to improve on,” Bernardo continued in an interview with Celtic TV. We simply have a minor goal-scoring difficulty because, in my opinion, we require too many opportunities to score a goal.
“I believe we are getting better every game as we gain confidence and play more games. All we have to do is press on.
“We just need to stick together as players, coaches, and fans—we have a long season ahead of us with ups and downs. Let’s keep going.”
Bernardo’s loan is just temporary; his skills are valued at approximately £6 million. His temporary deal ends at the end of May.
Brendan Rodgers will have to make a judgment soon to determine whether the deft midfield player has a future in Scotland.
Until then, Bernardo wants to keep winning at Parkhead, where he is hoping to win a second consecutive Scottish Cup and his eleventh title in 13 years.
