In an interview with BBC Radio Scotland, Brendan Rodgers responded, “Hopefully,” when asked if he would be fit for the next games. That won’t be known for a few days. All he felt was a constriction.
“He was eager to continue, but given Cameron’s recent experience, we had to remove him from the game out of caution, even though he is a brave man.”
He stated on Sky Sports that he “hasn’t gone,” meaning that it is still torn.
That’s encouraging because it means we might see him act soon. It appears, though, that this is a situation that will require management over time. It’s worth looking into if he’s having trouble playing from the weekend to the middle of the week.
For Celtic to miss months on end due to a hamstring tear is the last thing they need. even if it means skipping the Rangers game this coming weekend.
Fortunately, though, that doesn’t seem to have happened this afternoon, and the Bhoys will probably now have to wait for the scan results before he can play again before the winter break.
